COLLAGES
Collage portfolio ready and expo in 2025
In the first months of 2024 I finished a book and magazine version of my collage portfolio. They contain a selection of my best artworks from the past 8 years (2016 – 2023). Also an opportunity to see some of my new and older works is coming up in April 2025. Together with 3 other artist I will have an exhibition in Maison Stepman, a cultural center in Koekelberg, Brussels. More news on this will follow here soon.
MUSIC
“The Day Snow Fell From Hell“
That’s the title of one of my latest poems and song lyrics. The falling snow (from hell) in this case is a metaphor for the amount of bad news the past years have brought us since the end of the pandemic and the beginning of the war in Ukraine and more recently Gaza. Check my online music account on Bandcamp to listen to the recently released home recording of the song: sammyboyblue.bandcamp.com
ART BOOK
“Songs Of Blue” (2000 – 2005)
I just finished this photography and poetry booklet containing some scans from experimental pictures and excerpts from song lyrics and poems I wrote in the same period. 24 pages in total and printed in a very, very limited edition. I would like to give away 1 booklet to a fan who wants to answer some questions on my artwork. The results of this mini survey could be very useful for the future focus of my art career. ART BOOK
“I close my eyes to get a better view“
This will be the title of an upcoming poetry and photography booklet with an autobiographical focus. The pictures will be selected from older, analog self-portraits until recent digital selfies. Some new poems will be written for this, but also some older writings will find their place in the whole story. Really looking forward to work on this because it’s a self-healing process to look back in time and realize your evolution on the mysterious path life is.
SHOP
M.A.G.A.S.I.O.
In 2025 I will finally start building the M.A.G.A.S.I.O. (Mobile Art Gallery And Shop In One). This is a wooden stand on wheels to present and sell my collages and prints on creative/artisanal/artist markets in the near future. It will be made in a modular way, so I can transport it easily and build it by connecting the parts together. Like IKEA stuff a bit, but then better and stronger.
TRAVEL
Amalfi coast photobooks
In the past years we visited a few times the beautiful Mediterranean French coast and the part of it called Côte d’Azur. A ‘coffee table book’ with sunny and dreamy pictures of nature and coastal towns is coming up somewhere this or next year. I already finished 2 book on the beautiful island Capri and Positano, which we visited in May 2024. Soon I will soon start a book about the rest of Amalfi Coast from the same trip. Dreaming away in landscapes is one of my favorite wastes of time.
Opening up my photo archives
Since 1999 taking analog or digital pictures has become a kind of second nature. In about 25 years my archive has grown to ten thousands of photos, from the early years with monochrome film and polaroid experiments over my digital concert pictures until more recent photos from travelling or city trips with street art, nature or architecture. Check out my Flickr account for more photos. I restarted also my separate Instagram account Nightbirds & Daydreamers on spontaneous street (art) photography. And oh yes, I also have an old Tumblr blog with a selection of old and new lucky shots!

Road trips Côte d’Azur: Antibes, Grasse, Monaco
On our first visit to the Côte d’Azur in the summer of 2020 we chose to stay in the charming coastal city of Antibes. We stayed at a top floor apartment with a gorgeous view on the town, the sea and the mountains (Alpes-Maritimes). Even the flickering nocturnal lights of the Promenade des Anglais in…

Road trip Luxemburg
The end of May had some sunny days and we were happy to drive around in beautiful green Luxemburg to see some of its castles, rivers and historical towns, like Clervaux, Vianden, Beaufort, Echternach and Luxembourg city. In Clervaux you can still see, besides the charming and historical town itself, the famous photography expo ‘Family…

Road trip Côte Opale
At the end of August 2020, before another long covid lockdown was awaiting us, we drove up to the Côte Opale in the Pas-de-Calais region (Hauts-de-France). This is the home of a beautiful coastline with the famous locations Cap Blanc-Nez, Cap Gris-Nez and Le Touquet-Paris-Plage. But even the smaller towns and uninhabited zones near the…
