Upcoming expo ’33 Toeren’

NEW: Expected for autumn 2026!

Together with Annemie Maes (The Green Fairy) I am looking for a good location in Brussels to install our next common collage expo ’33 Toeren’.

This expo will be an ode to the designs (and designers) of music album covers. Our creative input in this is our personal inspirations, reinterpretations and alterations of existing covers of albums we own and like. More news sooon and hopefully somewhere on display after the summer of 2026! On top of this webpage some of the works that will be displayed are shown already.

COLLAGES

Collage portfolio (pdf + online)

In the first months of 2024 I finished a book and magazine version of my collage portfolio. They contain a selection of my best artworks from the recent past (2016 – 2023). I can send a low resolution pdf version on demand. Also an online version is available on Yumpu.

WATCH VIDEO

The focus of the works is the desire to be able to danse again.

Check out this online article of Bruzz with a video reportage from our etalage-expo setup way back in 2021 during the pandemic. On my Flickr account there are also some pictures in a separate album of the expo, the collage works and the decorations. The expo was named ‘Rue DANS Art’ and took place in the vitrine of the House of the Council of the Flemish Community Commission in Brussels.

ART BOOKLET

Halfway Heaven: a new booklet with street photography and poetry

In 2026 I made this photography and poetry booklet containing some black & white pictures taken between 1999 and 2010 in many European cities. The song lyrics and poems were all written in 2024 and 2025. The booklet was printed in a very, very limited edition, but I still have a few ones left for sale. ART BOOKLET

I close my eyes to get a better view

In 2025 I finished my most recent poetry and photography booklet ‘I close my eyes to get a better view’. The pictures were selected from trips to nature or the coast in Belgium and France. A mixture of old and newer new poems found their place in the whole story.

I only ordered 1 copy of the photobook so this booklet is not for sale. Some images were put on my Instagram account though and some of the texts and photos can also be found also in the section ‘Writings’ on this website.

SHOP STAND

M.A.G.A.S.I.O.

In the autumn of 2025 I have finally started building the M.A.G.A.S.I.O. (Mobile Art Gallery And Shop In One). This is a wooden stand on wheels to present and sell my collages and prints on creative/artisanal/artist markets in the near future.

It will be made in a modular way, so I can transport it easily and build it by connecting the parts together. Like IKEA stuff a bit, but then better and stronger. The first module is finished and I hope to soon start working on the second of three modules that can be put on top of each other.

POSTCARDS

My Etsy webshop

I have started making postcards from some of my recent analog collages. For now there are 3 postcards available on my Etsy page: etsy.com/shop/samgeuens.

The cards are ‘Happy Brew Year’, ‘Desert Rose’ and ‘Moonchild’. They are printed on a warm toned PaperWise paper and come with a brown kraft envelop. Until the end of January there is a 25% reduction also.

Listen online to my songs

Under my artist name ‘Sammy Boy Blue’ I publish my singer-songwriter and often bluesy, folk rock songs. You can listen to these home recordings on Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Vi.be or YouTube.

Opening up my photo archives

Since 1999 taking analog or digital pictures has become a kind of second nature. In about 25 years my archive has grown to ten thousands of photos, from the early years with black & white pictures, sepia or monochrome blue and red images and polaroid experiments over my digital concert pictures until more recent photos from travelling or city trips with street art, nature or architecture. Check out my second Instagram account ‘The Velvet Lowdown’ on music, poetry and songwriting and where I post poetic pictures of travels that have inspired my poems and lyrics. And oh yes, I also have an old Tumblr blog with a selection of old and new lucky shots!
